Bradford Dean Sherwood

Bradford Dean Sherwood, 42, of Troy, IL. passed away on Jan. 31, 2024, in Macoupin County, IL. He was born October 9, 1981, in Bloomington, IL, the son of Steven and Susan Sherwood from Petersburg, IL. (both survive). He was married to Kali Sherwood on August 15, 2008, she survives and resides in Troy, IL. He is also survived by his three children, Emily, Brayden, and Rylan Sherwood; Father-In-Law Gary Lowe (Janis) of Virginia, IL.; Mother-In-Law Mia Lowe (Mitch Hines) of Minier, IL.; Uncle Gary Sherwood(Kathleen)of California; Aunt Betty Sherwood of Macomb, IL.; Uncle Ralph Lerch of Kohoka, Mo.; Uncle Dean Ford (Donna) of Carterville, IL.; Uncle David Ford (Vicki) of St. Charles, Mo.; Sister-in-Law Holly Lowe (Andy) of Pittsfield, IL.; Brother-In-Law Evin Lowe (Taylor) of Athens, IL.; and many extended family, cousins, nieces and nephews. He is proceeded in death by Grandparents Dean and June Ford; Grandparents Bradley and Olive Sherwood; Aunt Patricia Lerch; and Uncle Robert Sherwood. Brad Sherwood was a 2000 Graduate of PORTA High School. He attended the Midwest Technical Institute in Springfield, IL. where he achieved his journeyman welding certification. He went on to work at ADM in Decatur through All-Tri R. He then went back to school at the University of Phoenix to earn an Associates Degree in Computer Programming. Brad’s early career in IT had him starting at LRS as a technician in their sports division. He worked for startups as an account manager, web designer, and in SEO. In most recent years, Brad worked for a national law firm out of St. Louis, MO. Polsinelli. Brad also worked for BJC hospital and charter spectrum doing various roles in IT. Brad recently joined the Local 193 Union in September and was working with Sargent Electric at the Double Black Diamond Solar Field. Brad enjoyed spending time with his family outdoors; hiking, fishing, and kayaking. He loved a good game night and was happiest surrounded by people. Brad loved bringing people together. He was a huge Chicago Cubs and University of Michigan Football fan. He was charming, witty, intelligent, funny, and kind. He was also his authentic self, a good listener, storyteller, and always spoke from his heart. He loved his family deeply and would do anything for them. He had a great sense of humor, loved to make people laugh, and a smile that was infectious. Brad will be greatly missed by many people but will forever be engrained in our memories. There will be a celebration of life on February 24th at IBEW Local 309 (2000 Mall St., Collinsville, IL.) from 12Noon-3:00pm. Lunch/food will be available.
