Julie A Summers

Julie A. Summers, 44, of Jacksonville, Illinois, went to Heaven, Friday May 26, 2023, of natural causes. She was born in Jacksonville on July 25, 1978, the daughter of Cheryl J. Savage and Kenny L. Savage. Julie spent much of her childhood on the family farm near Winchester with her grandparents, John (Big Daddy) and Patsy (Granny) Rutherford. She is preceded in death by her sister, Jill Frost, her father, her Granny, Big Daddy, and her father-in-law, Gary Summers. She is survived by her mother, her husband Matt Summers, and her children, Gabriel (Josephine-expecting grandchild) Summers, Bella Summers, and mother-in-law, Sam Summers. Also survived by sisters, Rebekah Savage and Mandy (Seth) Stewart, brother-in-law, Andy (fiancé Chrystal) and children, Ally, Grant, and Kaitlyn Frost, and close cousin, Leslie (Joe) Gregory. “Adopted” sister/lifelong bestie, Tara (Jeff) Roach. “Adopted” children, Kyleigh Carmean, Madisyn, and Aliegha Roach. Not to be forgotten Julie’s fur babies, Harley and Mickey (the most spoiled and loved dogs ever) and her grand fur baby, Zoe. For over 20 years Julie was an active member of First Christian Church, she had an unwavering faith that grew stronger by the day. She was a very fit, active, and energetic person. She enjoyed the gym with her besties, going on walks, chillin at the pool, bike rides with her family, and most recently, hikes in Iceland with her hubby, Matt. She loved to host/coordinate events, parties and gatherings for family and friends in their beautiful home and any place that would allow it! Baking the best sweets, desserts, and chocolates around, was something instilled in her by Granny. Julie has been a successful real estate agent while also running several investment properties and businesses with her husband. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 2nd at 1:30 at the MIDWEST ATHLETIC CENTER (MAC GYM) 409 Hardin Ave. Jacksonville, IL. There will a reception to follow at the gym.
