Sandra Kay Reed

Sandra "Sandy" Kay Reed, 65, passed away June 13th, 2023, after a brave battle with cancer. Her last days were spent with family by her side. Sandy was born Oct. 4th, 1957, to Edmond and Leslie Reed in Chicago, Il. She graduated from York High School and had a lengthy career as an office manager at Foran Motors car dealership. She was good friends with her boss, Patrick Foran. In life, Sandy was beautiful, generous, stubborn, loving, hardworking, loud and confident. If you knew sandy, she changed your life. She enjoyed traveling, going to Florida, going to concerts, rooting for the Cubs, bon fires and relaxing. She enjoyed car rides, working out at the Y and going out to eat with her sister, Michelle. She enjoyed worshipping the Lord, went to The Crossing Church in Jacksonville, Il. She enjoyed The Crossing women’s conference with her niece, Lena. She leaves behind a lifetime of love and memories for her family and friends. She is survived by her sister Michelle (Danny) Thomas of Jacksonville, Il, brother John Reed of Sandwich, il. She is survived by her stepson Michael Warden (Alexa Benita) of Ottawa and step grandchildren Scarlet, Salem and Lilith of Ottawa. She is also survived by niece Lena (Billy) Jones of Jacksonville, Il, niece Melissa "Missy" (Dan) Fletcher of Florissant, Mo, niece Kristine Reed (Kurt Gunier) of Sandwich, Il, nieces, niece Angel Khollman, Quincy, Il and nephew Juan (Samantha) Chairez of Kirksville, Mo. She is survived by several great nieces and nephews. She had a very special relationship with her great, great niece, Alexis. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, her brother Darrell, her dog bear, along with several family and friends. She looked most forward to having her baby boy, Aaron, placed in her arms when she arrived in heaven. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family to help with services can be made on their go fund me page or in memory of sandy to the crossing church or your local animal shelter. Daws Family Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
