Tina Jean Dobson

Tina Jean Dobson, 63, of Jacksonville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2026, at Springfield Memorial Hospital. She was born October 5, 1962, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Ronald L. and June Y. Alcorn Dobson. Tina was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose greatest joy in life was her family. She had a kind and giving heart and had a special way of making the people around her feel loved and cared for. Her family meant everything to her, and the memories she created with them will be cherished forever. Tina was the proud mother of Caleb (Megan) Dobson of Jacksonville, Chad Lonergan of Alsey, and Cory (Kimberly) Dobson of Winchester. She treasured the time she spent with her grandchildren, Jayse, Rylan, Hailey, Pacey, Leah, Emmalee, and Ayla, and each of them held a very special place in her heart. She is also survived by her siblings, Tracy (Andy) Armstrong-Fyffe of Concord and Brad Dobson of Jacksonville; one aunt Sharon Dobson of Jacksonville ; many cousins; nephews, Isaac, Andrew, and Adam; nieces, Olivia and Katie; great-nephew, Mayson; and special friend, Tina Mitchell; and special cousin Christina LaRosa. Tina was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Ronald L. and June Y. Dobson; many aunts and uncles. For many years, Tina proudly owned and operated Ms. Tina’s Daycare in Winchester. Caring for children was more than a job to her—it was something she truly loved. She gave countless children a safe, loving place to grow, learn, and feel cared for, leaving a lasting impression on many families throughout the years. Tina enjoyed cooking, playing bingo, spending time in her pool, laughing, and spending time with the people she loved most. She was happiest when surrounded by family, making memories and sharing the simple moments that become the ones we treasure most. Tina will be deeply missed by everyone who knew and loved her. Her love, her laughter, her caring nature, and the memories she gave her family will live on in the hearts of those she leaves behind. Although she is no longer with us, the love she gave so freely will remain a part of her family forever. A celebration of Tina’s life will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 30, 2026, at Jacksonville Speedway Pavilion, 110 North Westgate Ave., Jacksonville, IL 62650. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Caleb Dobson to assist with funeral expenses. Daws Family Funeral Home in Jacksonville is assisting the family.
