Alice Mae Rodgers, 77, of Winchester passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, at the Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born, Nov. 14, 1937, in Scotland Neck, NC, the daughter of Waddell D. and Anna Wolf Draper. She married Robert Rodgers May 27, 1978 in Riverview Gardens, MO. He preceded her in death. Surviving are three sons, David M. Draper of Cedar City, UT, John Millican of Mexico, MO, and Scott Rodgers of Winchester; one sister. She was preceded in death by two son, Todd Rodgers and a stillborn infant, one sisters, and three brothers. Alice was employed as a legal secretary before retiring. She attended the Winchester United Methodist Church. She was active in the food pantry, enjoyed reading, working crossword puzzles, and writing novels and plays. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015 at the Winchester United Methodist Church with interment in the Winchester City Cemetery. The family will meet friends Wednesday from 1:00 p.m. until time of the service at the church. Memorials are suggested to the family.
