Clarissa Jane Marine, 31, of Springfield passed away Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at the Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born May 17, 1980 in Jacksonville, the daughter of Robert and Georgia Chaudoin Marine. Surviving are a brother, Aaron (wife, Margie) Wills of Woodson; half sister, Teresa Clark of Sikeston, MO; half brother, Greg Marine; and several nieces and nephew. Also surviving are Clarissa’s Sparc Group Home family, Katie, Kara, Karen, and loving staff. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Georgia Marine and sister, Kim (living husband, Rod Dowland in Wills Point, TX) Dowland. Clarissa attended the Graham School in Jacksonville. She enjoyed participating in Special Olympics, watching Elmo on television, dancing, going to Hardees, bowling, and listening to Alabama and the Gaithers. Clarissa loved shaking her pompoms and was seldom without them. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Youngblood Baptist Church in Nortonville with interment in the Youngblood Cemetery in Nortonville. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until time of the service at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Sparc Group Home in Springfield.
