Everett Eugene "Bud' Pressey went home to be with the Lord, Dec. 24, 2021. He was born the son of Charles and Nora Mae (Tucker) Pressey, Feb. 28, 1932, in Pike County, IL. He married Norma Jane King, Dec. 24,1950. She preceded him in death, June 15, 2016. Surviving are 3 daughters, Rosemary (James) Peek of Springfield, Sandy (Larry) Moyer of Barry, and Debbie (Alvin) Foster of Winchester; 7 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren, and many friends and family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Henry "Bum" Pressey, Clarence "Dink" Pressey, Cleo Pressey, Bill Pressey, and Charles "Dude" Pressey, and sisters Marie Lake, Betty Castleberry, Sally Bigley, Rosie Pressey, and Mary Jane Pressey. He worked for many years on the farm for Roy Kaltschnee and enjoyed his time there. He, also, enjoyed hunting, fishing, and Cardinals baseball. He was a long-time member of the Winchester Assembly of God Church. He was also a lay minister and traveled to churches all over the area to minister the Word of God whenever he had the opportunity. He enjoyed singing with his wife Jane and their daughters for many years and in later years he sang with Glory Bound. They traveled to many nursing homes to sing and minister to the residents. Bud was loved by many and will be missed by all. A funeral service will held 10:00 a.m. Friday, Dec. 31, 2021, at the Daws Funeral Home in Winchester with interment in the Winchester City Cemetery. A visitation will be held Friday, 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the Scott County Nursing Center.
