Franklin D. “Frank” Williams, 71, of Jacksonville passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2015 at the Banner Good Samaritan Hospital in Phoenix, AZ. He was born Feb. 22, 1943 in Gatewood, MO, the son of Silas and Gladys Swift Williams. He married Peggy D. Osborne Sept. 1, 1969 in Springfield. He is survived by his wife, Peggy; children, Cindy (Craig) Anders of Bluffs, Peggy (Marty) Schoondyke of Jacksonville, and Dustin (Christa) Williams of Millington, TN; grandchildren, April (Clint) Coats of Neelyville, Laura Werries, Nick Werries, and Sara Walker all of Bluffs, Nathan Trent, Taylor Henninger, Heather (Don) Uncapher all of Jacksonville, Keesa (Michael) Stark of Augusta, GA, Kierra and Kyle Williams of Millington, TN; great grandchildren, Colton and Katie Coats both of Neelyville, Braden Werries, and Ella Wagner, both of Bluffs, Alyssa Root of Rushville, Kalob Root and Noah Trent both of Jacksonville; brother, Ivan (Grace) Williams of Murrayville; and sister, Pansy (Jr.) Simms of Pilot Grove, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents, 5 sisters, Paula Williams, Anna Harris, Ollie Brewer, Irene Merritt, and Estalee Washburn; and 8 brothers, Harris, Paul, DeWayne, Cecil, Willi, Floyd, Jack, and Loyd Williams. Frank was a retired employee of Mobil Chemical and Pactiv. He was a member of the White Hall Masonic Lodge #0080, achieving the degree of Master Mason. He was a member of the Bloomfield Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking, crafting with aluminum cans, and yard sales. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. A Celebration of Life service will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 25, 2015 at the Daws Family Funeral Home in Murrayville with interment in the Murrayville City Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 12:00 noon until time of the service at the funeral home.
