Jarrad Paul Florence Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jarrad Paul Florence, 35 years of age, of Springfield, IL passed away Friday, June 11th. Jarrad was born March of 1986 in Jerseyville, IL. He is survived by his parents, Pamela Chapman of Springfield, IL and Douglas Florence of Union, MO. He has an older brother Joel of Finley, ND, and younger sister Alisha and two nieces, Terrali and Rydia, all of Finley, ND. Younger sister Rochelle of Roodhouse, IL and younger sister Catlin of Rochester, IL. Jarrad had 3 sons, Matthew Douglas and Patrick Niel (Evelyn), and Mason Carter (Shannon). He also has a daughter Kailyn (Nicole). He leaves behind countless aunts, uncles, and cousins. Grandson of Ralph Chapman of Whitehall, IL. Grandson of late Jack and Alleane Florence. Grandson of late Billie Smith. Jarrad graduated from Springfield High School in 2004. He served in the U.S. Navy as a submarine specialist. After returning to Springfield from the military, he worked as the maintenance supervisor of a mobile home park before joining Color Matrix Painting as a professional painter. He enjoyed camping, cookouts with his family, and of course, playing canasta and having fudge. His favorite pastime was spending time and playing video games with his children and siblings. He loved music and playing his guitar. A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday June 17th, at the First Baptist Church located at 126 West Rowe Street in Roodhouse, IL. Friends and family are invited to visit with the family prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow the memorial service at Richwood’s Cemetery, East of Roodhouse. Following the burial, everyone is invited to join us back at the First Baptist Church Hall for lunch. In place of donations, we would appreciate cards, notes, or letters of your favorite memories of Jarrad for the family to have following the services.
