Juanita M. Hendrickson, 78, of White Hall passed away Friday, Feb. 11, 2022, at her residence. She was born, Jan. 6, 1944, in White Hall the daughter of John William “Bill” and Ilda Ion Painter Monroe. She married, Keith Hendrickson, Dec. 20, 1962. Surviving is husband, Keith of White Hall; daughter, Tonda (Tony) Anthony of Roodhouse; honorary son, Derek (Missi) Upleger of MN; grandsons, Christopher (Lorna) Fraser of Lafayette, TN, Shane (Jessica) Darr of Jacksonville, Keane (fiancé, Jessica Korbel) Anthony of Roodhouse and Elliott Anthony of Roodhouse; great grandchildren, Sadie, Brynlee, Elijah and Isiah; siblings, Mary Upleger, Faye DeSha both of White Hall and James Monroe of Springfield and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by daughter, Tammy Hardwick and siblings, Billy Ray Monroe and Myron Labby. Juanita was a member of House of Restoration Church in Roodhouse. She was employed by White Hall Hospital, working with Dr. Asar in the operating room, worked for the Greene County Ambulance, was a bus driver for North Greene School District and a little league softball coach. Juanita and her husband had a passion for caring for people, they were foster parents to many kids over the years. She helped at Keith’s Auto in White Hall. Juanita was a diehard Cubs fan and enjoyed wrestling and roller derby. A service will be held 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2022, at the Daws Family Funeral Home in Roodhouse. A visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2022, at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the House of Restoration Church.
