Lydia Ann Whitlock

March 2, 1934 - March 26, 2018

Lydia Ann Whitlock of rural Murrayville went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Monday, March 26, 2018. She was born, March 2, 1943, in Nortonville, the daughter of the late Samuel and Clara Louise McCann Chaudoin. She married Lawrence W. Whitlock, September 1, 1963. He survives in rural Murrayville. Surviving are three children, Scott (Lisa) Whitlock of Franklin, two daughters, Jennifer (Earl) Rice of Effingham, and Dee Ann (Steven) Bergschneider of Holly Springs, NC; two brothers, Carroll (Sandy) Chaudoin of rural Greenfield and Paul Dean (Brenda) Chaudoin of rural Franklin; Three sisters, Terry Lane Adams, Patsy (Larry) Landcaster, Juanita (Larry) Preston all of Jacksonville; brother-in-law, Harry (Kathy) Whitlock of Springfield, MO; five granddaughters, Ellen Bergschneider of Rochester, MN, Lakin (Tyler) Ross-Jackson of Manchester, Linsey Whitlock of St. Louis, MO, Mackenzie Ross of Atlanta, GA, and Clara Bergschneider of Holly Springs, NC; and two great-grandsons, Nolan and Warren Jackson of Manchester. She was proceeded in death by her infant daughter, Della Sara and infant son, Jon Henry, and two sisters Samuela Dawn Chaudoin and Sylvia Mae Evans. Lydia loved the Lord above all else and was a lifelong member of Youngblood Baptist Church in Nortonville, IL. She enjoyed singing and listening to gospel music. She also loved her “grand girls” and great grandsons and enjoyed spending time with them. She dearly loved and was loved by her husband and her family. Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 30, 2018, at the Youngblood Baptist Church with interment in the Youngblood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 29, 2018, at the Daws Family Funeral Home in Murrayville. Memorials are suggested to the Youngblood Baptist Church.
