Lynette I Schafer Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lynette I. Schafer, 57, of Winchester passed away March 21, 2022, after a 2-year battle with cancer. She was born Aug. 18, 1964, in White Hall, the daughter of Lyndle and Imogene Schafer. Lynette is survived by siblings, Nancy (Lynn) Knapp, Bob (Chris) Schafer both of Manchester and Elaine (Jim) Chestnut of Riverton. Lynette loved her family especially her nieces and nephews; Kim (Pat) Hackett, Kirby (Jennifer) Knapp, Brian (Becky) Schafer, Amanda (Michael) Pfeiffer, Jill (Brett) Mutzbauer and Heath (Ryann) Stinebaker, 15 great nieces and nephews; Patrick (Maggie) Hackett, Jacob and Nicole Hackett, Katelynn and Anna Knapp, Hannah, Wyatt, Annabell Schafer, Adalena and Magnus Pfeiffer, Claire and Emmett Mutzbauer, Dax, Dylan and Duke Stinebaker and 1 great great niece, Isla Hackett. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 niece. Lynette graduated from Winchester High School in 1982 and Truman State University. She worked for the State of Illinois, BCBS and Foundation for Medical Care. Lynette was an active member of the Winchester EMS for 31 years. She taught multiple fire, police and other agencies CPR. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at the Daws Family Funeral Home in Winchester with interment in the Manchester Cemetery. A visitation will be held Monday, April 11, 2022, from 2:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the family meeting friends from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Scott County Nursing Center or Winchester EMS.
