Marvin E. Booker, 73, of Glasgow passed away Friday, Dec. 16, 2016, due to a motor vehicle accident. He was born, July 2, 1943, in Hull, the son of William Thomas I and Mabel Churchill Booker. He married Candance Minton Oct. 15, 1964. She preceded him in death in 2013. Surviving is one daughter, Loren Ann (engaged, Stephen Howard) Orr of Glasgow; two grandchildren, Corey Taylor and Jazmine Mairi Orr both of Glasgow; two sisters, Shirley Berry of Bluffs and Carla (Robert) Hill of Nebo. He was preceded in death by one brother, William Thomas Booker II and one sister, Viola Irene Mathews. Marvin served in the US Marine Corps. During his working years, he was employed was a welder by Tracker Boat Company, owned and operated Hummingbird Meadow Campgrounds in Bennett Springs, and operated Highway Auto Parts in Quincy. Marvin enjoyed fishing, hunting mushrooms, and camping. Memorial services will be held 5:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, 2016, at the Daws Family Funeral Home in Winchester.
