Orval “Lee” Powell, 60, of Jacksonville passed away Thursday April 18, 2013 at his home in Jacksonville. He was born July 26, 1952 in White Hall, the son of Virgil and Eunice Jones Powell. Surviving is one sister, Sue Cheek of Jacksonville; niece, Crystal (Randy) Patrom of Beebe, Ark.; nephew, Tim (Tina) Powell of Jacksonville; step- nephew, Geoffrey Tracey of Brunswick, GA; great nieces and nephews, Nora (Justin) Wallbring, Jessica Powell, Ashlyn Patrom, Jordan Powell, and Damien Powell, a great-great nephew, Blaze Wallbring; and uncle and aunt, Don and Joyce Jones of Alsey. Lee was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Roodhouse. He worked as a machine operator for EMI. He was a member of the American Pool Association and the Misfit Pool Team in Jacksonville. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and traveling. A memorial potluck luncheon will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Daws Family Funeral Home banquet room in South Jacksonville with a Celebration of Life service starting at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home’s chapel.
