Richard Lee Garfield, 82, of Murrayville, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 at his home. He was born Aug. 21, 1932 in Jacksonville, the son of Horace and Mildred Watson Garfield. He married Barbara Biggs May 10, 1954 in Roodhouse. She preceded him in death Sept. 19, 2013. Surviving are his children, Richard L. Garfield of Versailles, Jacqueline Leckrone of Kincaid, John Fredrick Garfield of Laddonia, MO, Paula D.( Richard) Raridon of Black Hawk, SD, Stayce (James) Grant of Columbus, MS, Peggy Garfield of Woodson, Danielle (Bruce) Adameczyk of Grafton, WV, and Rebecca L.(Ray) Tabor of Jacksonville; one brother, Ronald Garfield of Colombo, Sri Lanka; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one brother-in-law, Marvin Spencer. One sister, Dianna Spencer, preceded him in death. Graveside services will be held at 2:00pm on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2014 at the Murrayville City Cemetery. The Daws Family Funeral Home in Murrayville is entrusted with these services.
