Arnold Ray “Tim” Timmerman, 72, of Glasgow passed away Thursday, Aug. 27, 2015, at his home in Glasgow. He was born, Jan. 27, 1943, in Santa Maria, CA. the son of Emery and Eileen Bunn Timmerman. He married Vicki Perry, Feb. 8, 1969, in Beardstown. Surviving is his wife, Vicki Timmerman of Winchester; three sons, Jason (La Rae) Timmerman, Joe (Stevie) Timmerman all of Winchester, and Kevin Timmerman of Springfield; three grandchildren, Trevor Miley, Tyrah Timmerman, and Paige Timmerman; one great grandson, Grayson Miley; one sister, Kathy Flowers of Meredosia; and one brother, James Ator of Griggsville. He was preceded in death by two sisters, infant sister, Cheryl Timmerman and sister, Sharon Kay McAdams. Tim was a Navy veteran serving 3 terms as a gunner’s mate on the USS Canberra. He was a past president of the Winchester American Legion. He was employed by the Operating Enginers Local 965 and retired after 30 plus years. Later, he worked for Dot Foods as a truck driver until his illness forced his retirement in July. He enjoyed golfing and attending sporting events of his granddaughters. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren. A visitation will be held Monday, Aug. 31, 2015, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m at the Daws Family Funeral Home in Winchester. Family will meet friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Military services will be conducted at 8:00 p.m. following the visitation. Memorials are suggested to Memorial Hospice or the Winchester American Legion.
