Dolores Johnette Rolf

On Monday, February 15, 2021, Dolores J. Williamson Rolf, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandma and aunt passed away at St. Johns Hospital in Springfield, IL at the age of 90. Dee (Wimpy) was born on August 23, 1930 in Bluffs, IL to John and Pearl Coleman Williamson. Dee was united in marriage to Verlin A. Rolf on April 3, 1948 at the Trinity Lutheran Parsonage in Bluffs, IL. Together they shared over 61years of marriage until his death on October 12, 2009. Dee was preceded in death by her husband, Verlin and daughter, Vicki Prunty. She was also preceded in death by her parents, five sisters, Velma Green, Edna Krusa, Helen Greenwalt Poff, June Merris and Essie Hyatt and three brothers, John Williamson, Ralph Henard and Don Henard. She is survived by her daughter Mary (Richard) Evans, daughter Sandy (Brad) Shireman, her six grandchildren, Cheri Hoots (Fiancé Shannon Tabor), Jody Shireman, Rich Evans (Fiancé Dana Jokisch) Christopher Prunty, Megan Evans (Fiancé Sam White) and Corey Prunty. Dee is also survived by her six great grandchildren Rylee and Laikyn McGuire, Brenden and Madaline Evans and McKenzie and Delaney Jokisch. Dee also leaves behind nephews, nieces and many cousins. Dee’s working career began at Hireman’s Restaurant, followed by the Koffee Kup Kafe, Placke’s Drive Inn, McCrory’s, 14 years at Tempos and finally Jacks Discount Stores in Jacksonville where she retired after 14 years of service. She was a dedicated member of Trinity Lutheran Church in rural Bluffs/Neelyville for many years. Dee had a passion for cooking, taking care of dogs and cats, reading, and listening to music. She was very proud of her family and leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories. The many times they shared together will now be cherished by those she leaves behind. She very much enjoyed hosting family dinners, family reunions, and spending time with children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her poodles Tami, Fifi and her Australian shepherd, Puffy were her favorite pets whom she loved dearly. Arrangements are being handled by Daws Funeral Home in South Jacksonville, IL. Family will receive friends on Friday, February 19, 2021 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Daws Funeral Home in South Jacksonville followed by the funeral service from 11:00 – 12:00 pm with the Rev. Richard Harre presiding. Interment will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in rural Bluffs/Neelyville immediately following the funeral.
